We have now been using Kreo for some time, and have completed a lot of different take-offs/budgets on a lot of different projects. My observations:
• The folder structure is good, but we essentially use a 'folder' as a 'project', and then each 'project' is a 'take-off/budget' on that project. That works ok, except we cannot cross-reference meausrements, drawings etc. between each 'take-off/budget'.
• We could do all the 'take-offs/budgets' within One 'project' but then it gets very complicated within the 'project' as there is no clear way of delineating between the different budgets etc. - it would be too complicated to put everything for one budget/take off on to one tab within the spreadsheet.
• A potential solution might be to introduce tab 'groups'?
However, my preference (and i don't know how feasible this is) would be to essentially have a 'folder' classified as a 'Project' so we can continue working in the way we are with each 'project' renamed as perhaps a 'take-off (or similar phrase), and then have common drawings assigned to that project and ability to pick them up in each 'take-off' and copy measurements between each 'take-off.
In addition to this, it would be really helpful to take the 'drawings' out of the 'projects and assign them to the 'project folder' (for the reasons above), but rather than just drawings call it project information - we upload surveys, specifications etc. because often there is important additional information that isn't necessarily captured on a drawing.
It would effectively be a folder containing all the information that is relevant to that project.
It would be even better if AI could be used to automatically categorise those drawings by Party, Drawing number, survey type etc. and, most importantly, the drawing revision.
This would then mean that we can keep budgets/take-offs and revisions/updates to those drawings separate but still have the ability to pull across previous drawing revisions, measurements etc. That would also avoid drawings being uploaded multiple times.
Bit of an essay, and perhaps not too clear, but i'd be happy to discuss further / expand on this if you want further clarity.
Cheers,
Paul.
